My Background
After living and working in the world’s fashion capitals, London, NYC, and Los Angeles, Sydney brings a unique repertoire of fashion scenes to your personal closet. After over eight years of working with top brands such as Juicy Couture, H&M, Halston, and Stella McCartney, she is now based in San Diego with a desire to bring her expertise and love of fashion to the wardrobe of the Southern California client.
As the head of PR for Halston, she fell in love with the art of styling. While there was a thrill of dressing celebrities and public figures for events, working closely with celebrity stylists and dressing some of Hollywoods's most desirable, it was the art that became addicting. Deciding to move back to Southern California to start a family, Sydney and her husband relocated to Los Angeles where she took an exciting position leading the VIP and Celebrity dressing with the Stella McCartney brand. While there she worked with key stylists, dressing celebrities and tastemakers for red carpet events and appearances.
After having her son, Sydney decided to take a break from the PR Fashion world to be a full time mom. But, she couldn’t completely stay away and decided to work closely with her husband’s photography business as a resident stylist. From working on set with Tom, styling for lifestyle shoots, Sydney found her calling - styling real people. When her best friend finally asked her to update her wardrobe and “style me,” there was an instant ease and gratification. It was then that her love of the fashion industry, styling, and working with real people seamlessly merged together and styledbysyd was created. With the idea that fusing the fantasy of the celebrity world with dressing real people will give any client the opportunity of sheer confidence through a well curated wardrobe and polished look.
